Accumark was hired to perform Quality Level B Utility designating services at multiple Coast Guard facilities in Corpus Christi. The objective of the project was for Accumark to update the existing utility drawings which had not been updated in dozens of years. Accumark designated all recently installed utilities including fiber-optics, electric duct banks, gas mains, water, among others. The Coast Guard facilities ranged in size from 15 to 25 acres, requiring Accumark's field crews to thoroughly investigate each site. The field crews used a two-man sweep to ensure that no utilities went unaccounted for. This project took place over a span of 4 weeks, and was completed to the fullest satisfaction of the client.
  • Dover Air Force Base–Dover, DE

Accumark was hired to perform Quality Level B Utility Designating and Quality Level A Utility Locating for this project. The overall purpose of the project is to replace the existing overhead primary electrical system with a new underground system. To that end, Accumark personnel researched tens of thousands of record drawings to find pertinent existing underground utility information. Accumark's crews utilized utility locating instruments to detect and mark the location of the underground facilities on the ground surface, performed GPS and conventional survey to locate the underground utilities and utility surface features, and performed computer drafting in AutoCAD to the government's Tri Services Cad Standards. Accumark personnel were also instrumental by assisting the prime engineer with the alignment of the new duct system and surface equipment. After utility conflicts were identified, Accumark performed test holes services at 100 locations.
